Starbucks giving back for Earth Day here’s how you can help.

Have you noticed that earth day is more recognized today than it was let’s say four years ago? In this hub I have been in search in companies that not only are going green but that are giving back to Earth.

Starbucks is giving back on Earth day this is how you interact. http://www.starbucks.com/blog/celebrate-earth-day-april-22/993

On April 22, 2012 Starbucks will be giving away brewed coffee iced, hot, cold, and decaf. All you have to do is purchase a reusable tumbler (in this manner you are not consuming plastic) and your favorite Barista will serve you your favorite Starbucks brewed coffee. Follow the above link for descriptive details.

Today is April 11, 2011 and I wanted to add new environmentally safe products, products that support the environment. Sun Chips are one of those products, did you know how they are made. Sun chips use 100% solar energy to make their delicious chips. When we indulge on a Sun Chip we are taking in some natural sunlight, no electricity, no bio fuels, all natural. WOW is that not amazing.

Odwalla smoothie have you tasted them? Yum totally natural like fresh squeezed juice. Here's the Odwalla perk, their bottles are made of plant based material. That will help this product biodegrade no need for recycle, another goodie.

Nature cookies are boxed in 100% recycled cardboard .

My favorite is Stonyfield organic yogurt protect 180,000 farmland acres. Now that is what we need more companies care doing something to care for our world.

Products that could save our planet.

Have you ever thought about buying your necessities based on what these products are doing for our planet?

In time for earth day (April 12, 2010) the Disney store has produced a unique line of eco friendly products and they are running giveaways for individuals like you and me to get our green hands on these new goodies.  My question is and the point to this hub is why should we buy these products what are these products doing for our environment? Okay they are recycled and made from recycled material but what contributions do these products provide?

Environmentally friendly cleaning products like the seventh generation have made it their life’s business to saving our planet, with their line of eco friendly cleaning supplies. From washing clothes, to cleaning your babies booty.  Seventh generation is top notch in provisions of pocket happy cleaning supplies. If that’s not enough follow the link below to their site and they have coupons for you to test out their goodies.

Simple green is another successful product line http://www.simplegreen.com/ .

With all of these green companies, and green products it’s really a wave of new generation where companies building their business with green trademarks are hoping that we as the consumers use their line of products. My questions remains, why not use products like simple green and or seventh generation to save this earth which they are so bent on saving, but what are they doing to save our planets?

Going green has become a new business wave, a trend even.

Proctor and Gamble is the company behind the product that has been working for many years now to save our planet one bird at a time.  This has been the only company that I have found that does something over and beyond.  In 2007 the International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC) a California based non-profit organization has saved thousands of birds that were engulfed by the San Francisco massive oil spill and still today with the Gulf oil spill are still working endlessly to save these little guys.

Dawn, that is the magical product dawn have you tried it on your dishes, I’m sure you’ve seen the cute little white seals they use on the logos. Well this everyday product has been in use to saving our planet one bird at a time. It has a remarkable ability to cut grease and to remove the oil from the fragile feathers of thousands of birds. The oil kills hundreds into the thousands of these birds yearly because birds clean themselves ingest the oil and it is fatal to them. With a mere 1% of dawn in a warm tube of water these birds are cleaned like their very own spa. Students, and individuals like you and I are trained to clean these birds that go into a rehab and then when ready are set back out into the wild. This is an outstanding product one we should be using to save our planet.
